What is SERVE? SERVE is a student-run unit at the University of Michigan that works to provide students with opportunities to address serious social issues through community service and social action. Student leadership teams and committees work together to plan and implement all of our programs as well as to determine our directions and priorities. Through campus programs, alternative breaks, issue education, information and referral services, and internship and job referral, SERVE strives to heighten campus awareness of social issues, increase student involvement in the community, address community problems, and raise social consciousness. Why Volunteer Connection? The Volunteer Connection website was created to provide students with a means of searching for opportunities to get involved within the greater Ann Arbor community. It is a service entirely funded for and provided by SERVE, and will pave the way for developing relationships between the student population and local agencies. What will Volunteer Connection do with my information? Our purpose lies only in facilitating student involvment in the greater Ann Arbor community; therefore, the information you provide is used solely for that purpose. Any information given will not and cannot be used for any purpose other than for providing students with information about your agency and the volunteer opportunities that you sponsor.
